HUBER+SUHNER as employer

At the end of 2016, the number of permanent employees around the world increased by 10.4 % to 4031. Due to the acquisition of the Polatis company with headquarters in Bedford, MA (USA) and Cambridge (UK), 100 new employees joined the HUBER+SUHNER Group. Expansion of the Service Center in Poland and the assembly plant in Tunisia also contributed to the increase in the number of permanent employees.

The HUBER+SUHNER foundation

The HUBER+SUHNER Foundation is active in the fields of social issues, culture and sports. The purpose of the foundation includes the promotion of both internal projects for the benefit of employees and also external projects, specifically in the regions close to major HUBER+SUHNER locations in Switzerland. In 2016 the foundation was involved in some 180 projects, each focusing more or less equally on culture, sports and social issues. Special attention was paid to the promotion of young talents.

The term "Corporate Governance" refers to all of the principles and rules aimed at safeguarding shareholder interests. While maintaining decision-making capability and efficiency at the highest level of a company, these principles are intended to ensure transparency and a healthy balance of management and control. The Corporate Governance report is structured according to the Directive on Corporate Governance (DCG) published by the SIX Swiss Exchange. All details refer to the closing date on 31 December 2016 – unless otherwise indicated.

Group structure and shareholders

The HUBER+SUHNER Group operational management structure is as a matrix organisation. It is made up of the three divisions Radio Frequency, Fiber Optics and Low Frequency and of Global Sales with seven regions.
