Fiber optics and foresight are the backbone for business growth.
The data center industry is growing to meet global demand for more data capacity. Colocation data centers are a popular way for organisations to run IT operations without the cost of building and managing facilities of their own. Our customer Telehouse is one of the largest operators of these centers in Europe. Its TH2 center in Paris handles half of France’s internet traffic. For over a decade we’ve provided Telehouse with the most advanced connectivity infrastructure, so its customers can thrive in an increasingly digital world.
Telehouse was a pioneer of ‘meet-me’ rooms in colocation centers — central hubs where multiple customers physically connect to their service providers. It’s an environment that can easily end up in a chaos of cables between devices, but the backbone cabling solution we created, as part of a complete fiber optic refurbishment of TH2 in 2015, has stood the test of time. Precise in structure and designed with the future in mind, it has provided this flagship facility with the capacity to grow. In each room it’s clear which fiber optic is used by which customer, and where there is availability for new customers. The meet-me rooms are all interconnected through a mesh network that increases the efficiency, stability and security of TH2. More server racks and rooms can be added without disruption.
“We are pleased with the ongoing collaboration between Telehouse and HUBER+SUHNER, two partners united by a common mission: to deliver state-of-the-art connectivity solutions that support and secure our customers’ most critical business operations.”
Sébastien Bernard, Connectivity Manager, Telehouse France
Telehouse is our blueprint for connecting colocation data centers. The strong growth of this market in France and across Europe is being fuelled by the rapid adoption of AI and data sovereignty laws that require data to be stored locally. The relationship with Telehouse gives us a strong profile in a French market that’s expanding rapidly beyond Paris. Telehouse plans to invest one billion euros to grow its presence in France which is now emerging as a global connectivity hub. The extension of our commercial agreement with Telehouse should bring further opportunities to deepen a partnership that showcases HUBER+SUHNER’s leadership in structured cabling for data centers.
“Our partnership with Telehouse has been foundational for our data center business, helping us push the boundaries of what connectivity can achieve for our customers.”
